Newspack is the third-party vendor that runs the website. Any technical issues that arise or questions we have with the website, we should reach out to Newspack for assistance.

Our primary mode of communication is the Newspack slack workspace. Generally, questions should go in public #newspack-help or the private #michigan-daily channels. The MOEs should always be in the #michigan-daily channel. The EIC and DME are usually also members.

Newspack also holds weekly calls to go over various topics of interest for small digital publications. This may be of interest for MOEs or the DME to attend, but definitely isn’t required. It is usually useful, though, to keep an eye on the Newspack public channels, just to get a good sense of how others are using Newspack and what is possible through the platform.
